Ms. Robbie Patterson Obituary

Robbie Denise Patterson graced this world with her presence on December 9, 1962. She was born to the late Robert and Sarah Patterson where she was instilled with great confidence and strength. Robbie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and became a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir as well serving. Growing up, Robbie was such an outgoing soul and never met a stranger.  She attended Sylacauga High School where she graduated from in 1981. Robbie would always speak of the many dance contests she would win and her jazzy outfit with the boots. Robbie was always the life of the party and social butterfly. She always had a way with building a person up and making them feel they could do, wear, and be anything they wanted to be. Her confidence was unmatchable, and strength was impressive.

Throughout the years Robbie simply enjoyed her life to the fullest. She touched so many lives with her charismatic personality and wonderful stories. She thought herself as a bit of a psychic and loved to give advice whether it was asked or not. She did not play the radio when it came to her family and friends. Robbie was loved beyond measures and wore so many hats in the lives of those she encountered. Robbie was joy to be around and enjoyed being around those who loved and cared for her.

Robbie begins her battle with cancer in 2020 and fought a good fight. Though she has been discouraged at times she was never defeated. She kept on fighting with her laughter, her songs, and her exuberant spirit for life. Robbie’s good days outweighed her bad days. Robbie transitioned from this life to a peaceful rest on September 4th, 2024, at Grandview Medical Center surrounded by family where she was loved on and cared for to the end. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Sarah Nell Patterson, her sister Marlisa Ware, nephew Ryan Robinson and brother-in-law Otie Robinson.

She leaves behind the fun and loving memories that will forever be treasured by her loving and devoted daughters Phelesia Patterson and Marcia Banks; grandchildren, Demundre Adair, Mahogany Rowell, Devin Dates, DaKyla Dates, and Asyza Patterson; great-grandchildren Kinsely, Kamdynn, and Braylon Adair, Nova Stockdale; sisters, Laqueta (Kenneth)Stone and Allison Robinson; brother ,Samuel Russell; and a host of nieces and nephews as well as family who loved her dearly. A special shout out to “The Clique” for the love and support as well as her Otie Lane Crew. Also, her wonderful neighbor April and kids for being there and supporting her through it all.
